Research interest

Nanomaterials are widely used for electrochemical conversion purposes due to their unique properties. The elemental composition, primary and secondary morphologies of these materials can greatly impact their catalytic performance as well as their electrochemical stabilities. At HIERN, I utilized an array of techniques including identical location high resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM), focused ion beam scanning electron microscopy (FIB-SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and online scanning flow cell inductive plasma mass spectrometry connected (SFC-ICPMS) to study the nanoscale changes of these catalytic materials.
