My research deals with the oxidation of 2-propanol to acetone, as part of the large HI ERN project Emission-free and highly emission-reduced rail traffic on non-electrified lines. I aim to understand the relationships between electrode structure and reaction activity or selectivity and then develop new, more efficient catalysts which can be used as the anode in 2-propanol fuel cells.
