Though ongoing research and development have made significant progress towards FHC European and U.S. DOE targets, further work is still required before an economy of scale effect. In my work at the Electrocatalytic Interface Engineering research department, I try to meet these targets and facilitate the energy transition process by finding an optimal interface system for catalysts, membranes, and transport layers for electrochemical energy converter systems such as Low Temperature PEM fuel cells.
