Trevor Worthy receives a prestigious US Student Fulbright award

16/07/2019   -   He will join the Team Electrosynthesis in September 2019

Trevor Worthy, a US material scientist, was successful in receiving a prestigious US Student Fulbright award. He will join the Electrosynthesis team in September 2019 to work on electrocatalysis. Mr. Worthy studied materials science and engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. During his undergraduate studies he worked on the synthesis and electrochemical characterization of mesoporous thin films and the characterization of seeded micro/nanowire growth in lithium alloy systems at the group of Prof. Matthew McDowell at Georgia Tech.  Additionally, he served as a research fellow in Dr. Suzanne Mohney’s group at Penn State during a Research Experience for Undergraduates.  While at Penn State, he worked to synthesize graphite-gallium nitride heterostructures using high-pressure chemical vapor deposition. Trevor has previously received a Presidential Undergraduate Research Award from Georgia Tech.

We congratulate Trevor for receiving this prestigious award and we are looking forward to welcoming him at the Electrosynthesis Team!
