Research interest
My research is addressed to the development of new, high-throughput methods for the characterization of non-aqueous electrochemical systems, especially for the study of lithium ion batteries. A fundamental problem of these systems arises from the dissolution of metals from the cathode active material. I aim to investigate this phenomenon with in-situ coupled electrochemical-analytical techniques to get a deeper understanding of the underlying mechanisms based on potential resolved data. The use of ex-situ surface characterization methods like SEM, XRF, and XPS are part of the research project as well.
