Jerrit Wagner wins the InnovationPlus Award

09/2021 - Jerrit wins the InnovationPlus Award by the Forschungszentrum Jülich for his innovative contributions to the SpinBot Development

The InnovationPlus incentive scheme rewards the outstanding innovative contributions of employees or scientific institutes at Forschungszentrum Jülich in the transfer channels of licensing, spin-offs, and special achievements.
In 2021 a total of seven achievements were awarded by the management board of the Forschungszentrum Jülich! Two of these awards went to the HI ERN department High Throughput Methods in Photovoltaics!

Jerrit Wagner, who is currently pursuing his PhD at our department in the Group High Throughput Materials and Devices. As part of his PhD-Work Jerrit has developed large parts of our AMANDA platform. About 2 years ago he realized that through the use of a low cost SCARA-robot in combination with a pipetting channel it would be possible to pack many features of our Materials Acceleration Platform LineOne into a rather simple and small setup – the SpinBot. Since then the idea has really taken off, and the Start-up SCIPRIOS has now licensed the technology and is marketing it. We congratulate Jerrit on this award in the category licensing!!
