Research Interest

Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHCs) provide a safe and easily manageable method to store and transport H2 to filling stations. In order to guarantee the implementation of a competitive technology in the market, efficient hydrogenation and dehydrogenation of these organic molecules should be achieved. Thus, active and selective catalysts that allow for a low-temperature H2 release with minimal by-products formation are highly attractive. My work focuses on screening catalytically active components (e.g. noble and transition metals) incorporated into different catalyst configurations (e.g. single atom, nanoparticles) under several process conditions in order to develop a high-performing catalyst for low-temperature dehydrogenation of LOHC molecules.
