Why solar modules are our best source of energy?

The burning of fossil fuels has led to an uncontrolled accumulation of CO2 in the atmosphere. This, as well as other consequences of mankind's unsustainable treatment of our environment, make an energy transition unavoidable. Wind and photovoltaics have established themselves as the means of this turnaround.

However, the solar revolution also creates uncertainty. Misinformation about the benefits and potential of photovoltaics is widespread. In his lecture as part of the "FAU Insights" series, Dr. Ian Marius Peters (HI ERN) shows why solar modules are our best option for a sustainable energy system.
