Prof. Dr. Peter Wasserscheid at the Helmholtz Annual Conference 2019
Prof. Dr. Peter Wasserscheid took part in the Science Talk at the Helmholtz Annual Conference 2019 in Berlin.
This year's Helmholtz Annual Conference took place in Berlin in autumn 2019. The "Helmholtz Science Talk" was held in front of a large audience. Our founding director Prof. Dr. Peter Wasserscheid, together with three other scientists from different Helmholtz Centers, answered the interesting questions of moderator Tatjana Ohm on the topic of climate change.
"Hydrogen technologies are very important to get the transition to an energy system free of fossil CO2 emissions."
Prof. Dr. Wasserscheid presented our research focus to the audience with a short explanation about the material hydrogen storage bound to an organic liquid (LOHC). When asked how our research ultimately reaches the "normal consumer", he reported on our project for an emission-free local train in Bavaria in which our technology is used, as well as on the opening of the first hydrogen filling station in Erlangen.
