Team High Throughput Processing for Photovoltaics at HI ERN starts operation!
09/2021 Dr. Hans-Joachim Egelhaaf joins us as the team leader for the Team High Throughput Processing for Photovoltaics

Dr. Hans-Joachim Egelhaaf has joined the High Throughput Methods in Photovoltaics in September 2021. At our institute he will lead our third research group “High Throughput Processing for Phovovoltaics”. Dr. Egelhaaf is a highly experienced scientist in the field of organic and printed photovoltaics. He has joined us from the Bavarian Center for Applied Energy Research e.V., where he was group leader of the Solar Factory of the Future. His research interests are mainly in the areas of development of solution-based R2R processes for the fabrication of low-cost photovoltaic modules, photophysics of thin organic films, in particular bulk heterojunctions of oligomers and polymers with fullerenes, and the lifetime of organic photovoltaics.
Hans is also a lecturer at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg for various courses on organic and printed electronics. We are very pleased that Hans join us as the team leader for High Throughput Processing for Photovoltaics. With his extensive experience he is a great addition to our department and we welcome Hans to the team!
